This should help you. This site shows the notation, and examples of the rudiments on the snare, in a groove, and in a fill. I like this page, I use it alot and it has really helped me.  ;)

Combining these rudiments will give you hybrids, and that's when it gets real interesting. ;) But perfect the 40 international rudies first. GB

well all rudiments are really simple when you have the concept... the first rudiment is the single roll which is .... LR LR LR LR LR.... the next is the double stroke roll which is ... LL RR LL RR LL RR LL RR ... then come the five stoke roll which is ... LL RR L RR LL R LL RR L RR LL R... BUT YOU CAN'T FORGET 2 ALTERNATE ITS REAL IMPORTANT... THOSE ARE JUST A FEW

dude go to google and type in "hybrid rudiments" and youll definently find MARCHING rudiments like chuchuttras and cheeses.
