Anoited Praise and Worship

As a Deacon it is my duty to lead devotion (worship and praise).  Now I remember as a child the hymns being  sung in meter,  it would be nice to bring that flavor back to realtime;  Can someone please give me any suggestions on lifting an anointed p/w session.

Hi, well, I humbly submit my opinion and that is that if you want to have an anointed P/W session then you have to be yielded to the Holy Spirit because it is He who brings the anointing.  You prepare yourself throughout the week by praying and reading the scriptures.  You ask the Holy Spirit to guide you in the song selections and believe me, He will coordinate what you will sing so that it will help prepare the hearts to receive God's Word.  The anointing is not a feeling or an emotion that can be turned on/off but rather it is the power of God released on our lives to destroy the yoke of bondage.

I agree With Maria. The Holy Spirit Is there Just waiting for Our Honest & Humbled invite..MuchPrayer & Supplication. Self is hard to Leave out Buts its a Must..I have Brought forth dongd that I kew were anointed.. then it was Just an ok service..The Song Is Not Anointed Unless you are anointed.. Seek ye first the Kingdom Of God Applies to Music as well as Money..First
1. Whats The motivation
2. How Much preparation
3. How Much Prayer
4. Why are You singing it
5. Who are you singing for

I have been full of Myself before & It was Obvious to Everyone But Me.
You don't have to Even be full of self Just have a little self in there & runn off an anointing

Amen. The best thing to do is to be prayed up BEFORE you stand in front of the congregation.  Pray or listen to some good gospel music to amp your spirit and watch God work!
