Prodigies?
« on: February 18, 2014, 10:21:08 PM »
I always see kids playing instruments at very advanced levels on youtube. I've come to the conclusion that not all these kids are prodigies. Some of the kids have a good teacher and they PRACTICE all the time.

I know that there are kids born with certain natural abilities who can just naturally play instruments,  but I don't think that number is so great.  I know for sure, though, that a bright kid who wants to, and is given the opportunity and the needed supplies and instruction,  and is in a certain environment(music filled in this case), can be shocking by what and how fast he/she can learn.  They're like a sponge. I think that they might just have been taught in most of the cases, and caught on quick. Of course,  there are also varying degrees of innate capacity to consider.q
