Why do you play??

Why do you play, what are your reasons??what makes you want to carry on improving on the instrument you play?
i believe peoples thoughts on this might bless others and help some to keep on going.

I play for many reasons.  Here are some- in no particular order:

1. I've always had a passion for learning music
2. My church needed a keyboard player
3. I want to compose music one day
4. I want to be like David- he worshipped the Lord with his mouth, with his dance, with psalms, and with the instruments.

There are three main reasons why I play, no particular order.
1. For the pure love of the art. (music is a beautiful art!!!)
2. To worship and praise our great God.
3. For relaxation, If I've had a rough day I can just sit and play my instrument and it calms and relaxes me.

I play because:

I have a natural love and ear for music.
I grew up in the church and loved to hear all of the instruments.
I want to praise and thank god for all he has done for me through my music.

Well it's simple, God gave me this talent as a child.  And to honor him I use it. What makes me carry on improving in my music is the same thing that makes me carry on improving in my realationship with God, the love.

I play because God has given me a talent and an ability to praise and worship him thorugh the gift of song. I play because i am able to make new songs and record songs for my jazz band, mass choir and hopefully soon our youth choir. I thank God daily for a truly marvelous gift.

I play because my mother made me go to that mean old lady on 103st name Mrs. McDonald... I hated to go to piano lessons!!! I wanted to play baseball more than I wanted to take Piano lessons! But when I turned 16 years old, I realized that I had gotten pretty good! So now I play just for the love of the music. And also because my Church realized that home grown talent was better than ouside talent! After awhile, conviction came over me under my father's ministry, and now I'm an elder and a minister of Music. But I love the piano as much as I love to preach!
