I play bass myself. I prefer the organ bass and the deepness and richness it adds to your chords.

I have a basslayer at the church I play 4.  In order to play bass with me you must first know the bassline to the song and then play it .  If the bass player doesn't know the song he or she will be asked not to play and I will play my own bassline

Of course playing with a bass player is 100% better (if that bass player can hold down the bottom). I play with a seven piece band every sunday which means I too play with a bass player, but I use the lighter second drawbar for the pedals which is parallel to the chords I play and an octave higher to the notes the bass player plays... so it doesn't clash.

Keep in mind many bass players consider it disrespectful for the organ (or keyboard) player to play bass.  Of course, if they cant play, they might have to get their feelings hurt.

i play bass all by my self  :D  w/ my left hand because im just starting the pedals..if i had a bass player it would be so much better so i can hold down the top cords and he can hold down the bass b/ sumtimes i know the cords but not the bass line so it would be a very big improvement on everyones part. :D

I sort of play bass.  I tap staccato on the pedal.
