new preacher chords in Eb
« on: March 31, 2005, 07:14:16 AM »
To my man propheticmusicia on www.gospelkeyboard.com

These are the same chords I use to give the church that mysterious feel
The congregation’ll probably be thinkin’ what the pastor bout say LOL

Key: Eb
Opening run: (start high up on the keyboard and) play E, Eb, A, Ab (play the next E if you want to keep the run going down, if not play E, Eb, A, Ab, Gb)
Come all the way down the board w\ the run and hit the following chord with a super hard hit on the bass drum if you got a drummer to get the attention of the spirit and those in the back of the church talking, balancing there checkbooks etc. LOL
This sounds a whole lot better on a nice long grand piano  I my opinion

Here we go start high up on the keyboard E, Eb, A, Ab E, Eb, A, Ab E, Eb, A, Ab
R.H. Eb, Gb, Ab, Db
L.H. Eb (roll it) (Eb-4/7) the theory version
Now let this chord sit and marinate
The make up your run to go in the next chord
R.H. Eb, Gb, Bb, Db
L.H. Gb, Eb, Gb (roll it) (Gb6) the theory version
Now this chord you play to end phrase that the pastor might say
Example: “I want you to jump for joy hallelujah”
Now play this chord real heavy and fat like bump, bump (hope you understood that tell me if you don’t)
R.H. D, Gb, Ab, Db
L.H. Bb, Ab (Bb7#5#9)
Then repeat the process a couple of times
Then you could play
Run: E, Eb, A, Ab E, Eb (Gb) hold this not if your on the organ let it sing out, if on piano do the octaves of this note and lit ring.
So… Run: E, Eb, A, Ab E, Eb (Gb) hold this not followed by
R.H. G, B, Db, Gb
L.H. A, A (A79#5) you already know kind version it is

R.H. Gb, Ab, B, Eb
L.H. B, B (B6) then…

R.H. D, Gb, Ab, Db
L.H. Bb, Ab (Bb7#5#9)

Fork in the road time you could take exit 3:16 and hit that shout or stay in traffic and repeat the whole process all the way from the run
Theres more if you want it (tell me if you want more chords like these)

P.S.
I’m also working an all new shout climb as well variations that you could do during shout, stuff like tye tribbet and johnathan nelson

Holla at ya boy
