Here's a tidbit of "Sweet Holy Spirit" by Larry Tr

I think some time ago someone asked for this song. Below are the chords to the chorus of that song from what I'm hearing from the cd, if you have more to add to this or something that may sound better, then please add it. It's a simple song and with the chorus, all they're doing is modulating a half step throughout. This should get you all started with it if you've wanted to play this song.

I wrote the chord notations because it's much easier and faster for me to post it this way. Read the article about voicings (placing your notes in your left and right hand) if you don't know how to voice, to find voicings that you can work with on this song. If you don't know what the chord notations are, there are plenty of free resources on the web that will tell about them, use a good search engine. You can also invest in a good chord dictionary, if you don't already have one, they inexpensive and very reliable.  I'll probably post note for note later though...

Sweet Holy Spirit
(recorded by Bishop Larry Trotter & Sweet Holy Spirit)

Chorus:
Sweet Holy Spirit.
Sweet Heavenly Dove.
Stay right here with us,
fill us with power from above.

********************

(remember these are chord notations so when you see a chord like this…C/E the C chord is to be played with your right hand and the E is the bass note)

A bit more for intermediate and advance players:

Sweet holy: Bbmaj9
Spirit: Ebmaj13
(filler): F

Sweet: Bbmaj9
Heavenly: Bb/G
Dove: Cm11
(filler): F
(filler): Eb/C

Stay: Bbmaj9
Right here: Dm7(b9)
With: Bb6/G
Us: Bb7(b5)/Gb
Fill us: Fm9
with: Bb7(b9)
power: Ebmaj13
*from a: Bb2/G
bove: F9sus
(filler): F

+++++++++++++++++

Now here's the notes you play that are the notes that correspond with the chord symbols below...please try to learn the formula for the chords and inversions...use this post below as a guide to learn the chord symbols above.
