"Lift Him Up" Byron Cage
« on: June 17, 2009, 05:02:01 PM »
I finally learned the rest of this song. This post doesn't have it 100% with all the runs and exact chord inversions, but this should help you get through the song.

"Lift Him" Up by: Byron Cage
Key B LH/RH

Intro:

C# / E-F#-B  or  C# / E-F#-G#-B
G# / D#-G#-B  or  G# / D#-F#-B

A# / C#-F#-A#
B / D#-F#-B
(repeat)

D# / C#-F#-A#

Part 1:

G# / D#-G#-B No matter
F# / C#-F#-A# what the
D# / A#-C#-F# problem may
E / B-D#-F# be,
(repeat 2x)

A# / F#-A#-C# in Him I
B / F#-B-D# live, move, and
E / F#-B-E have my being,

Part 2:

let the
C# / B-E-F#-B people  *bounce chord
G# / D#-G#-B  or  G# / D#-F#-B lift Him
F# / C#-F#-A# up, re-
E / E-F#-B  or  E / E-F#-G#-B joice, and
A# / C#-F#-A# shout unto
B / D#-F#-B Him, for You have
C# / B-E-F#-B caused us *bounce chord
G# / D#-G#-B  or  G# / D#-F#-B to tri-
F# / C#-F#-A# umph, and we
A  / B-E-G# know we will rule in the *2nd time, go on from here
E / B-D#-F# end,
(repeat)

A# / C#-F#-A# end,
B / D#-F#-B
D# / C#-F#-A#
(either go back to Part 1 or on to the music break)

A# / F#-A#-C#
B / F#-B-D#
E / G#-B-E
F# / A#-C#-F#
Ab / C-Eb-Ab
Bb / D-F-Bb
C# / B-E-F#-B or C# / E-F#-G#-B
A# / C#-F#-A#
B / D#-F#-B

Vamp:

D# /
F# /
G# /
C# / B-E-F#-B lift Him up, *bounce chord
G# /
B /
C# /
G# / D#-G#-B or G# / D#-F#-B lift Him
F# / C#-F#-A# up,
/ B, A#, F# *optional melody run
E / B-E-F#-B lift Him up, *bounce chord
D# /
C# /
B /
A# / C#-F#-A# higher and
B / D#-F#-B higher.
(repeat)

This song kinda reminds me of "In The Sactuary" by Kurt Carr a little bit.  Just bounce the B-E-F#-B chord and run the bass.  To modulate, just take everything up 1/2 step.  I hope this helps.
