News from 2008 NAMM for you Pearl enthusiasts.

...Pearl has discontinued the Export kits and the ECX's.  The Visions line has a new member and it's the VMX (100% Maple Shell)  Another new member is the VBX.  (100% Birch Shell)  Then you have a 6/8 Combination for the VSX and VX.  That means that the Rack toms are 6ply Birch/Basswood while the Floor toms are 8ply Birch/Basswood.  The VSX has 6 Ultra-Exotic Wraps while the VX has 6 affordable Solid Color Wrap Options with 3 of them including black hardware.  (Pearldrum.com)

I like my Export kit. It looks good, sounds great, and serves the purpose for what it was bought for. I always wanted a set of Pearls or Tamas cause when I was a kid they were the most popular brands so I bought the export. To be real though I haven't ever played on a professional grade kit so I wouldn't know the difference at this point. But I did see a dw kit on here that made me have feelings for an inanimate oject that I am pretty sure is wrong. :D :D

...okay dude, that DW kit is sick buuuuuuut it came out "last year" and we've seen it many of times on here and this thread is to present the New Vision Line and letting folks know that Pearl has officially put the Export Line to rest. :P 8)

...man I didn't see that you were just kiddin'.  My apologies.  Be blessed.....and again....the DW Kit is off the hook buuuuut you've got to see what they're bringing out this year.  I'm telling you....well.....you'll see. ;)
