I been meaning to put my two cents into this convo so here it goes.
People around here will vote for Mitt Romney simply because they want a quick fix. They don't think Obama is moving fast enough, so they'll assume that Romney will.

Christians around here could care less if Romney is a Mormon or a Buddhist, they just want things to change instantly and anyone with common sense knows that will never happen.

When someone mentions the mess the Bush Administration left behind, people don't want to hear it. But there is no way that you can fairly evaluate Obama's Administration without factoring in the mess he inherited.  :-\

I Agree!

Obama had TWO YEARS with a Democratic congress and he did NOTHING!!! NOTHING!!! NOTHING!!!!!   ::)

(at least that's what his detractors will say... as if that mess could have been fixed in 2 years... )

There are people who contend that Obama is effectively an empty suit.  This is perhaps an indicator that Obama may be a nice likable guy, but that he is not an effective leader and/or does not have a clear plan of action.

aint no one term president gonna fix the US issues..

Shoot, I dont think a 2 term president could fix it, cuz every time a new regime comes in, it seems to be all about "undoing" whatever the last guy did, and there's never a clear consistent course of action that can span beyond 8 years.

Yes and many of these are the same people who have been dogging him since it became clear that he was a contender in 2008.. It is difficult to lead people who refuse to see your worth regardless to what you do and refuse to be led because they think you are not worthy.  Can you imagine what Faux News and the like would have done if it had been the president at some Democratic fund raiser.. or GOD FORBID some event at a black church, if he had made the same statement statement about "the 47%.." You can correct the number where applicable.. but the outcry wold have been relentless.. and if it had been a black function gun sales would have surely spiked the following week.. Even if he had full cooperation from the "other side" for the full four years (don't think that they were "nice" when they were a minority .. they were just as obstructionist as they were in the second half of his term .. they just didn't have that ful measure of power..)  the problems he faced in 2009 were huge...  but we have people who want to just totally ignore the lack of cooperation from congress over the last two years by saying .. "He had two years with a democratic majority in congress and he did nothing!!" and they say that with a straight face.

Now they are going to harp on Bengazi up to the election.. guaranteed.. unless Rev. Wright sticks his fool head up or something else happens.. and people are dumb enough to eat that up.. because they want a reason ... Never mind the fact that given the nature of that attack.. even if security had been stepped up it still might not have been enough and who can see these things coming? It is sad.. but you would think that a few hundred Americans were killed in that attack..

Now Gov. Romney says that he will deal with Iran.. deal with Al Qaida.. deal with the debt .. and North Korea and support Israel.. and not raise any taxes on ANYONE and keep the Bush era tax cuts.. that are a big part of our current debt.. and not cut anything important.. like social security, education or defense, because you know.. we have to police the world to keep that M.I.C. fat and happy (which is what that eu .. and create jobs...  ::)

President Obama says.. he wants to cut some taxes on people who can afford it.. cut waste where possible.. give businesses a reason to bring jobs back here... maintain support for Israel .. hold Iran accountable..  let folks in some of these other countries deal with their own issues (there was a reason why Sod@mn Insane had his foot on those people's necks in Iraq... He knew what he was dealing with.. so did Qadaffi and Mubarak) , foster better education here and work towards getting us off the oilcrack we have been on for the last few hundred plus years.

They both said other stuff.. but that's the gist of it.. Gay marriage and abortion? State issues.. that is the battleground for those issues and on gay marriage if you think they are going back in the closet you are insane. The morality of these issues is what it is but no amount of legislation is going to put either of those eggs back together.. and some of us can sit here and allow ourselves to be manipulated by others with these issues but I chose not to. Anyhoo... this is getting my shorts in a knot so I'm out for now. It just ticks me off how malleable the American Sheeple are...

Especially the black sheeple.  They refuse to see the elephant in the room.  Starting with the shoring up of the economy and the saving of the auto industry, even at the begining with the cash for clunkers program, there has been an effort to deny or make less(or not acknowledge)successful efforts by President Obama.  Cash for clunkers brought the retail auto business out of the hole.  Then you heard "it didn'thelp" by those still holding the buscuit that they just sopped up the gravy with.

Speaking of additionl numbers of those using food stamps that the republicans keep bringing up, what would happen it these programs had been reduced during the recovery. What would those people do.  We do remember that there was a depression and people were losing their jobs, don't we?  A lot of them in that 47% of Romney speak.

Those in he industrial community who gained from Obama's and the democrat's efforts have not put the money back into the economy.  Why?  They say that they don't know what the economy holds.  Well, if they make it so by not hiring and not expanding etc. it will be slow in recovering. Even with all the resistance we are still improving.

At about 12% of the population, blacks couldn't possibly be using more of the social relief and entitlement programs than the rest of the population, but a larger percentage of blacks as a group probably do.  There are reasons why.  Some we control but many that we don't.  So then, who will suffer the most under republican think?

When Romney says 47% in his comments about the american people, 35% are someone else all things being equal.  If you think that those people weren't always considered to be black, you got an elephant in your room.  If you think that concerted efforts haven't been made to discredit President Obama regardless of his successes nor efforts made to restrict the economy because he is president, you have an elephant in your room.

If there is an elephant in the room, you ought to see it, even if someone says it isn't there. If it has a habit of stepping on your foot in particular, then even moreso.

So what do you think about this article? He probably means it but I don't think it will happen.. but you know.. Tell em what they want to hear..

Now I know one jerk at a rally does not define a party or a platform.. but in this case I think this picture says a lot for many who don't have the stones to just get real..
.. kinda reminds me of the people at the Palin rallies in 08 shouting "Kill him!!" and Palin with that stupid grin on her face saying nothing.. At least Senator McCain was decent enough to put people in their place when they spoke out of term concerning then Senator Obama.
