Glory to God!!!! He is worthy to be praised!!!  Here is something for us beginners.
Let's begin:

Eb major scale:  Eb,F,G,Ab,Bb,C,D,Eb

Basslines:
Old Traditional: Eb, C, Bb
Old Traditional Vamp: Eb, C, Db, D, Eb (keep repeating)

Traditional: Eb, Db, D, C, B, Bb, C, Db, D, Eb
Traditional: Eb, G, Bb, A, Ab, C, Db, D, Eb
Traditional Vamp: Eb, F, Gb, G, Ab, C, Db, D, Eb

Contemporary: Eb, G, Ab, A, Bb, C, Db, D, Eb
Contemporary with Fluctuation: Eb, G, C, B, Bb, C, Db, D, Eb
Contemporary Vamp:  Eb, Db, Bb, A, Ab, C, Db, D, Eb
Contemporary Vamp Addition: Eb, Db, Bb, A, Ab, C, Db, D, Eb, F, Gb, G, Ab, C, Db, D, Eb

Vamp:  Played at the end of the song when the church is just praising and praising God

*All Basslines are repeaters.
*Basslines can be combined.
*Save Vamps for the end, be led by the Holy Spirit.
*There are plenty of basslines you can create your own according to your chording. (Ex: Eb, G, Gb, Ab, Gb, F,  E, Eb)
*Eb is the tonal center of your Bassline
* This can be transposed to any key that you need it to be in.

These are basslines that I use, there are plenty more, experiment, Pray, Pray and Pray.  The Word comes before the music.  My motto:  Pray Before you Play!!! I hope this helps you and any other musician.  Glory to His name!!

Your Brother in Christ,

Brother Mark Wilson
Church of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost
Lancaster, Pa.
Living for Jesus, Glorifying God in all that I do and in all I do Glorify God.
