I think the thing about the XP 80 is the sounds on it.  Those sounds are classic and no other board has those.  It's just a great board anyway.

I have an XP-50, its a 61 key but it has pretty much the same sounds. I like them though, one of the best boards of its time. i'm trying to save up for a Fantom X7, its about that time for an upgrade.

I have one and really don't to much care for it!  It does have good sounds on it, but its kinda hard for me to record on it and stuff.  Any help from other users please.  If its as good as ya'll say, I would hate to get rid of it!

I have an exp80!  I have had it for years!  I love it.  I use my computer to lay down tracks.  I use Cubase!  I bought my cubase on EBAY.   I would encourage you to keep your xp80 and try some computer software like Cubase or cakewalk.  If you did get rid of it, it wouldn't retail that much.  Might as well keep it and use it for midi controller, or use with a sound module.

God Bless

the roland xp series came from the jv series and if anyone remembers the roland jv-1000 they renamed it to xp50. then once the korg trinity came out thats whem roland introduced both the xp60 and xp80 same keyboard only difference is the amount of keys.

i loved my xp50 and i loved the sounds on my xp60 but i was so used to the sequencer on the 50 i didnt like the 60 and went to a fantom from there
