The Gospel Chior at my school is putting on a concert for black history month and I was wondering what would you sing at a concert like that?If ya'll could give any suggestions that would be great!!
THANX.
- "Lift Every Voice and Sing"
You could choose to spirituals and if you'd like, you can do updated spirituals, here's a few that come to mind:
- "Rock Of Ages" (TM Mass Youth Choir)
- "Old Ship Of Zion" (Jesus Gang)
- "Get Away Jordan" (TM Mass Youth Choir)
Also you can use songs that speak of encouragement and empowerment, for example:
- "We Shall Overcome" (Bishop Paul Morton & The Greater St. Stephen Mass Choir )
- "We Made It" (Hezekiah Walker & The Lover Fellowship Crusade Choir)
