Hi everyone. I'm still trying to get this playing by ear thing down. I have compose the progression for grateful by Hez. Walker. What I have been work on is getting progression down. Please let me know if I can use  better chord or any improvement or suggestion will help.

The Progression I think he is going with is the 2-5-6-7-1.

Key of Db

(2)Eb-Ab/ Eb, F, Ab, Bb (single notes)
(5)Ab/ Ab- Bb-C-Eb
(6)Bb/Ab -Db-F
(7)C/Ab-C-Eb
(1)Db/F-Ab-Db

The song from the CD is in Ab, are you trying to play it in Db??

Ill help you its in Ab. Ill give you Ab chords along with Db chords

Ab
Eb/Eb

AbEb/CEbAb

thats the basis of the whole song, il post the rest when i have more time

For Db jus move everything up a maj4th.
