ACTUALLY I WOULD GO WITH BOTH. B/C I LIKE VIC FIRHT'S PETER ERNSKI'S 7A ROUND WOOD TIP STICKS. BUT I ALSO LIKE THE PRO MARK JAPENISE OAK 7A STICKS. BOTH OF THEM FEEL GREAT BUT THEY'RE TOTALLY DIFFERENT STICKS.BUT IF I HAVE TO CHOOSE IT WOULD PROBABLY BE VIC FIRTH BUT IM NOT SURE.

Both...I like the Vic Firth Erskines...but when I'm gonna sweat a lot I use the Pro-mark Acid Jazz. So at most big events you'll see me hittin' with Pro-Mark.

VIC FIRTHS ARE NICE, BUT I THINK PROMARKS ARE TOUGHER AND MORE DURRABLE. ESPECIALLY WHEN, YOUR PLAYING A SONG AND THE HOLY SPIRIT TAKES OVA AND U END PLAYIN FO HOURS.

C'mon guys.  Just use what you like and feels good to you.

I have Vater L.A. 5a's and Vic Firths American Sound 5a's.

I've also used Zildjian Dennis Chambers.  Just add different sticks to your arsenal.  You're not sponsored so be open minded. :)

I use Vic Firth, however, that doesn't deter me from trying out any other brands.  I'll go with a consistent stick (weight, straightness, etc.), regardless of the brand.

If you're interested, I use Vic Firth's Steve Smith Signature model, and Buddy Rich's signature model.  I recently used Mro-Mark's ZX5A model that was recently reintroduced.

I use Vater Manhattan 7A's. I wish that Vic firth would come out with a stick between the 5A's and the 7A's.  Shorter and lighter than the 5A's but longer and heavier tha the 7A's

if I had to choose between the two sticks, I'd pick the Vic Firths... I'm likin the 5A's. My problem is that one of the churches I play for has a set that I call the "stick chewer" The setup is funny... the cymbals are at a straight angle that cuts into my sticks when I crash...
