Marvin McQuitty's Homegoing Celebration... wow
« on: September 17, 2012, 03:27:18 PM »
I was able to catch part of it streamed online from his church home and it was amazing how celebrated he was. As well how he was remembered more for service than drumming.

Chime in all you whom watched and share your experience.

May we all reach a state of living this life that we have such a grand send off so filled with honor.

That closing song written for him, about him by Aaron Lindsey on keys with Logan, Teddy Campbell and Gordon Campbell all on set with Gerald Heyward trading in and Terrance Palmer on bass is how I would like to be sent out... held high with wisdom remembered. Hopefully I will touch people that way one day.

...here you go.  This song broke me down.  Marvin was a major influence in my life and I thank the Lord for him.  Thank you Aaron Lindsey for putting this song together.  My favorite song... and now new prayer.  :'(
