The smiley to express my reaction does not even exist...

OMG same here.

Even Teej's gif doesn't cut it.

I think I might be offended. :-\

Or disgusted...

Or embarrassed?

Or angry?

Or some combination of the above?

Idk...

+1. I just think the word choice is OFF. Maybe it should've been left at "knowing how to please" or something.

Didn't read the entire thread yet....

They should know how...

To dress professionally. Especially for job interviews.

Buy proper size clothing, including shoes.

To do their own manicure.

To hold their own during sales. Don't be so gullible. I guess that can go for dating too...

Control their emotions.

BRB...

Ladies.......is it a bad thing if your husband refers to you as a.........garden tool.  Meaning in conversation between you and him, not publically.

Why does that offend some of you?  Why are some of you not to please with him making such comments?  I mean you are married.

I'm just curious.

I'm not married but I'm 99.9999999% sure I wouldn't like that word used between me and my husband @Doc. It's a derogatory word. Nothing hot, steamy or sexy about it, IMO. If another couple finds that hot...do your thing. I ain't mad atcha. Just not going down with me.

it loses its effectiveness after we call you that so many times?

for the record, I wouldn't call my wife that. But if there was something I wanted to do. I know my wife wouldn't object to anything within reason. And I think that was what Chevonne was referring. Extinguishing your husband appetite.

No point in serving him escargot when all he wants is a pulled pork sandwich on some store bought bread in the pickup truck.

I agree....the nerve to even pose such a question...when has there been any good followed behind that word...I have NEVER heard a Pastor get up and describe his wife as a ....garden tool... if feel sorry if a woman thinks its ok to be considered such things...I'm all for pleasing me husband but I'm pretty sure the bible says somewhere that the bed of the married is undefiled so nothing I do with my spouse makes me a garden tool!

Yeah, I think Chevonee's post was taken the wrong way. The word "freak" would have been more applicable.

Get over it people.

It wasn't taken the wrong way, it was SAID the wrong way.

And while I agree "freak" would've worked a little better, the truth is that... you know what? Nevermind. I'm not even getting entangled in this.

Fwiw, that "line item" was already on the list anyway.

But whatever.

*washes hands*

@Docdb, I typed a reply to your question, but I may PM it to you instead. I'm not trying to get all tangled up in this folly.
