Licks!!!!!!!!

Seems like the drumming forum got a lil a dry. So im try to spice it up with showing a lick ive been working on.  Its in 4/4 and the notes are 16th note triplets: RllRllRLRKKL

ill try to post a vid of me playing it soon

For you guys to understand this lick I'll say how I use it around the kit:

On the 1st part I'll play everything on the snare except for the 2nd storke on the right hand (the 5th note),which is played on the small tom)

On the 2nd part, the 2nd right hand (4th note) is on the snare as well as the 11th note. the rest of it is on the small tom... the last 4 notes are played down the toms however you want.

so basically:

1st part = RllkR(tom1)k x2 Rllk

2nd part = rlr(snare)lrlklrlr(snare) klrlr

a tricky one to explain, but I guess you understood it :)

My second lick is 16th notes,.....rythms can vary, its up to you

It'd probably be better if you dudes made videos of your fills, because I can assure you the way you're doing it is preventing this thread from being what it has to the potential to become.

I like the fills shown, I don't know any myself but I like this video right here and plan on looking more into the A-A-B-A type of fills.
