I finally spent the weekend with the nord c2
I still dont have the stand so I cant play the pedals yet
but I am very impressed with the sounds
at first I was just mildly satisfied.
i played around with the draw bars and found i could some of the sounds I was used to getting

but then I started working with the many presets and I was floored by some of the drawbar settings that they came up with

you have to understand i am not a real true organist so draw bar settings have always been somewhat elusive.

well I have to say that this organ sounds better than I could ever set up my personal hammonds.
without a piece of paper to write out all the stop settings.

without being hooked up to a leslie i still feel like I have a real B3
so I am sure when I get around to getting one of the rotary amp speakers
whether or not it is a leslie
then for sure

the pipe organ is pretty cool too if you like pipe organ
this has realistic sounding pipe organ .

the pedal board is also straight like  a pipe organ pedal board.

the board is pricey and for a working man it still seems a little steep to me,

but as far as organ clones go I think this is cheaper than most
and definitely has killer sounds
plus you are getting three organs for the price of one

farfisa B3 pipe

once I get the pedals I can really get into this organ more for now i am confined to upper and lower manual

but that is ok
at least i feel a lot more confident going into a service now

To be or not to be that is the question you anwer when you pray practice and read your word

shades of Dennis Montgomery!!!nice!!

With the MP he's using-does that come with built-in grooves-or did he have to program them?

I wonder what he's running his Nord thru-monitors(studio ref?)

sure sounds good.

Hey doc
no there are no built in grooves.
there are built in preset draw bar settings to help you with getting a good sound right away,

but think about it you can midi in anything from or run a sequencer
or reason into its midi in  and generate grooves

How is the C2 treating you so far?
thank you for asking.

I have to admit I really do like and rely on this.
it is a blessing having access to a real organ 24/7
I cant tell you how much better my organ playing is when I try to learn  a song on the organ.
and finish learning the song on the organ.

as opposed to learning the song on piano then having to reset how I approach it on the organ.

still however I find I dont play it every day,
boooo booooo

but I play guitar and bass also plus i have to play keyboard at a wednesday service

no excuse really

but back to your question.
I love it I recommend it.

for the cost though unless you are really planning on gigging which is what made me buy it.

I think an A100 is a better investment
cheaper and the real thing.
my total cost outlay with gig bags pedals, stands bench, leslie switch, music stand was close to 5,000.00 if not more and I bought mine
used otherwise it would have been more.

my A100 cost 900 plus 700 shipping it from new mexico to new york
that is 1,600
add to it another 1,500 for a leslie
or 500 with a ventilator and
you are looking at
2,000-3,000
of course not as portable,
and it doesent play pipe organ or farfisa organ
but most of you dont like pipe

and to be honest I am not all that impressed with the pipe organ anyway.
but that is probably because I am not a real pipe organ player.
see me in  a few years after I learn some real pipe organ songs.

Yes I sold mine, someone had to have it and was willing to pay what I priced it at, so it was a no brainer for me. I may go with a NE3 this time around. I was going to buy the SK-1 when it came out but I'm a little leary on it. So it more than likely will be another Nord.
