Can someone help me out on scoring chords

Pls guys, I need help on knowing the kind of chord used in a song. Par exemple, I might be able to tell that an F chord was used in a particular place but I need help on knowing whether it was played on root position, 1st or 2nd inversion or some other notes were played along with it and how can I figure out those notes.I Would be very grateful to whosoever can be of help.

what do you play and what's you're skill level?

If you do a search for T-BLOCK or DIVERSE;you should find a lot of theory/application regarding chords.Also,search some of the songs which are posted;do some self study -since you have the chords;look how they are positioned.

All I can say is use your ears and practice, and have your instrument ready. Keep listening over and over again. I've had some experience in scoring video game songs, and it's not easy. If you have a good recording and an EQ it helps.

Go to HearandPlay.com and find the information they have on their free chord finder site and print the chords out in every key.  Below is an example.

       Key                           Root                           1st inversion                     2nd inversion

  The chord structure is the same with every chord of the scale in the key in which you are playing.  Be sure to use the correct Key Signature and flat or sharp keys that are in your key signature.  Hope this helps.  There are many sites on the web that you can probably find and print out this information.  For instance loook in the Sam's Gospel Music Course Workbook on pages 9-11.  You can find this at www.Samsmuzkikco.com and print it out.  Hope this helps you.
