He's concerned chords
« on: March 06, 2010, 01:37:34 PM »
Anyone know where I can get the chords to the ending of Cece Winans "He's concerned". The song is in the key of A, modulates to key of B...there's a tiny elusive progression at the end.

Thanks

First things first. Anytime you'd like someone to try and assist you with chords, you should post the song (via mp3 or youtube clip). Now that that's out of the way....

CeCe Winans - He's Concerned

It sounds reminiscent of a Stevie Wonder ending to me.

I don't really have time to spell out the chords, but I think it goes:

CM7
C#7
D6/9 (?)
C#m7
B major chord (or some ending chord....M7, M9, etc)

There's some type of 'A' chord that's played before this little progression but I can't seem to get it exactly; it's really sweet.

That's the best I've come up with so far, I hope that can help you a bit.

Great...the CM7 and the D 6/9 are what I was thinking. You added the missing parts of the puzzle for me.

I tend to hear a B 6/9 on the end.

Thanks

It's VERY possible that it's a B 6/9. If it works for you, stick with it.

Glad I could help.

I think the A chord is A 13; AE/G C# F#
