I Can't hold It- Byron Cage
« on: February 04, 2010, 06:02:47 AM »
Hi all,

Does anyone have chords for "I Can't Hold it" (Byron Cage).

Many thnx
==========================
Here's some of the lyrics:

You have given me everything I needed
According to your riches
And the plans set for my life, they are for blessings not for purses
So I‘ll render unto
All of the glory you are due

Chorus -
Ooh Ooh Ooh, I can’t hold it.
You don’t know how--
Much the Lord has
Done for me

I dont have time to really get into the details of it but it sounds like:

/Ab,Bb,C,Bb,Ab   you have given me

D/D-F-Bb         everything I

Eb/Eb-G-Bb        needed

C/C-Eb-Ab        according to your

Db/Db-F-Ab       riches

(repeat for the other stuff he says)

G/G-Bb-Db               glory

C/E-Ab-Bb-Eb           you are

F/G-Ab-C-Eb              due

/Ab,B,Db,B              ohh ohh ohhh

C/Gb-B-Eb(X2)            I cant

Db/F-Bb-Db(X2)         hold it

E/E-G-Bb-Db(X2)         you dont

F/F-Ab-C-Eb(X2)        know how

F/F-Ab-Db               much

Ab/Eb-Ab-C              the

D/F-Ab-C-Eb(X2)        Lord has

G/G-Bb-Db               Done

C/E-Ab-Bb-Eb            for

F/G-Ab-C-Eb             me

repeat but the second "done for me" part is:

F/F-Ab-Db        done

G/G-Bb-Eb         for

Ab/Ab-C-Eb         me

I hope that this will at least get you started. I might mess with it later.....

There's a breakdown of the song on youtube. I believe a guy by the name of mrkordz4dayz did a 2 part tutorial on the song. Very thorough and easy to follow. He even broke down the vamp of the song. Great job. Check him out.

Are you saying it's not original. lol. It's probably a hanon scale, but I guess it does mean I got to start listening to classical and write my own psalm, praise Him with the classical.  :D

I think I heard it in a tom and jerry episode where tom was trying to kill Jerry as he was running around the inside of a baby grand piano. He was playing this song. I think

I think its the Hungarian waltz, you know the one Daffy and Donald were playing in "who framed roger rabbit". Its in the scene where daffy (the white duck) calls Daffy (the black duck) the "n-word!
if you have the dvd check out the piano behind jessica rabbit they are killing IT!
