Guitar Center Trade in event!
« on: February 28, 2009, 12:22:48 AM »
Whats up LGM Fam!
I don't know if anyone else knows about this, but there is a Trade In/Trade Up event this weekend...take a look:

http://gc.guitarcenter.com/tradeup/

I have a snare I'd like to trade in. Its in great condition...but I want something more versatile than what I have now (pearl piccolo)

I'm hoping yall could help me with suggestions for a solid main snare  8)

How many of you got good deals from this event? is it an annual thing?

I don't 'do' Guitar Center, but I can tell you that you won't get much as it relates to a trade in.

Provide more information - what is your budget?

e-bay sounds goood....I haven't sold anything on there before...but
I'm sure I'd get a decent amount for what I have...

To be honest, I don't have much of a budget...I wasn't planning to get another snare at this point in time until I saw this trade in thing

I guess I'll just hope for a good return on e-bay, I have a steel piccolo that is basically brand new. I haven't gigged with it at all

Have any of you purchased drums on e-bay/craigslist? any good products any of managed to get on there?

No, I haven't, but you'll find a lot of stuff on eBay (that you may not see in your local stores)....

It's called marketing young man.  The good old bait and switch.  All of the big "bargains" will be gone or out of stock when you get there.  They're just like car dealers when it comes to trades,
When you've done your very best, do even better.

Figures...

I'll stick with e-bay

Right now they have a Tama G maple (14x6) up there for $80 (for now lol) a tama Imperialstar (14x5.5) for about $70, a chad smith for 50, and a brass sensitone for $80
