Soooo... I woke up with my face on the keyboard of my computer, notes from the Christian Ed Director stuck to my face, and I only typed "Antioch Baptist Church ba........." I have NO idea what I was about to type, or how the heck I passed out like that and slept at the dinning room table... LOL, I have GOT to do better! Mawnin folks!

What a couple of weeks it has been...

I had to let an employee go for the first time last week

A couple from our church was in a motorcycle accident with both of them suffering several broken bones.  The wife had to have two surgeries, one to replace a shoulder that was shattered, and the other to reconstruct the other shoulder that was broken in three places.  Not to mention a broken arm and rib... I was blessed to visit them in the hospital and share a word of prayer, I was so encouraged and grateful.  We could have been planning a funeral... or two... God is good.

My favorite employee (I guess I shouldn't have favorites, but I love this guy!) called me this morning, he's taking his wife to the ER, he thinks she's miscarrying.  They've been trying to have a baby for a while now... such a beautiful young couple, I just pray that God carries them through, whatever his plan is.

Lots of other stuff I won't bore you with, but God is very good to me!

CS: Thanking God that today and tomorrow are literally free days. Thinking about going to see the movie "Unconditional" tonight.

CS: Beginning to realize that it's ok to say no and it's possible to be easy to get along with and have a backbone.

Thanks, and I will.   I might not hear from him until next week, but he may call me over the weekend. 

One more thing, a co-worker who works in another unit had to pull the plug on her mother Wednesday.  She's a tough latina girl, and she struggled with the decision.  I know this situation has broken her and now she feels very alone.   She's married with children, but her mother was well... she was her mother, and I don't think she's close to anyone else in biological family but her mom.  We chat a lot at work, and though she knows I'm "religious" as they say, we generally just laugh and talk surface stuff.  I mentioned I was praying to a mutual friend in the office who has been keeping me posted, and she really seemed to grab hold of that like it just meant the world to her.  It really touched me and made me feel the responsibility to pray... the real need and desire God has to make a tangible entrance into the lives of people around us.

If someone sneaks in your house and leaves the door unlocked then someone else steals your stuff. Who is responsible for what happened?
