CS: Trying to make sense of this Celina Cass case... 11 y/o good girl by all accounts, loves her mama and stepfather, great relationship with them and her bio dad, shy, athletic, sweet... disappears from her bedroom in the middle of the night. No sign of break-in, no sign of struggle, no sign she ran away... no signs at all.

Just praying they find her safely.

I'm also reminded of the little boy from Texas who just disappeared from a house full of family members a few months ago, in the middle of the winter... 18 mos old. They still haven't found him.

CS: Praying for all the missing children and women.

I saw that on Yahoo this morning.

I think it deserves its own thread. :-\

Anyway, really sad story. I know quite a few folks who play those games for hours at a time. I guess it's not as bad when they're playing the ones where you move around. But the other ones where you're just sitting on the couch can clearly be dangerous.

CS: About to cry. The vet just called. Savannah is not cooperating so they're going to have to sedate her. Between the vaccines (which I didn't realize were due in July) and her grooming, my estimate is $400. I'm not a happy camper at all.

This reminds me of the Poly Klaas story and Jacob Wetterling. Poly disappeared from her home during a sleep over with 3 of her friends. Her parents were both there and asleep in a nearby bedroom. She was kidnapped, raped and murdered.

Jacob Wetterling disappeared in 1989 and they haven't found him yet.

I couldn't imagine what I would do in a situation like this which is why I pray so much for both parents and their kids. You can be doing all the right things and still end up like these parents.

I used to be a hardcore gamer, but playing a game for 12hrs straight WITHOUT GETTING UP?  That's just pathetic.

I've laid in bed for 12 hours. Or on the couch (when I used to watch TV).

I may have ordered a pizza and only gotten up to get the pizza, go to the bathroom and wash my hands... and get right back on the couch. *shrug*

I was young then. Probably depressed, too. LOL. I can see how people can do that, but I can't relate to doing it for video games since I'm not a gamer.

Of course I went to the bathroom but I was right back at the game. Before I would start playing, I would bring snacks to put beside me so I wouldn't get hungry. I WAS TRULY ADDICTED IN EVERY SENSE OF THE WORD I remember playing from sun up to sundown. I had to pray about it because it was affecting my everyday life. :-[ :-[ :-[ Of course this was before I had kids and a husband. I have a PS3 but I hardly ever play it because I don't want to fall back into my bad habit. It's amazing what people get addicted to...shopping, drugs, alcohol, games, sex, etc. SMH

CS: How bout Chevonne decided to open her BIG MOUTH and sing at church the other day and now I've got to sing at Homecoming this coming Sunday. How could I be so foolish? What am I going to do in front of all those COGIC people. I've been at this church for 2 years and this was the first time they heard me really sing...I'm flattered that they enjoyed it but I didn't know this would be the result. Also, I've got to speak at the Sunday School convention. OH GOD GIVE ME STRENGTH!!! :o :o :o :o :o :o :o
