wow short fuse this is whats up
pretty soon people will be answering queries with videos on a regular
thanks for ushering the 21st century
on another note with the drawbar question
here is my take on the subject
there are over 2 million possible combinations
so finding the one for you may be daunting
it is good to start with the most basic fundamental setting and work from there
I recently came back from Gmwa
and what I learned there is that sometimes less is more
if you use really phat chords you want to use less draw bar
maybe the 8 and 4 that is the first two white drawbars that are next to each other
if you like to play with two hands on the same manual this also works well for you
if you like playing with tritones or left hand chords on the upper manual
then
the 4 and 2 half way out is a nice setting for this
if you use more tame voicings but still want them to ring out
i found an interesting sound is
088888800
this is not a mistake you have to be sure you play accurately because the quint is all the way out and will tell on you if you make any mistakes
but if you play this settting elegantly it really rings out and sounds very full
let the drawbars do some of the work for you
I discovered that I need to redefine my organ playing I went back to the most basic of basic drawbar settings
8080000000 80 0088000000
this is the basic jazz set up it allows you to play left hand bass and chords in the right hand
it also leaves room for two handed chords
the reason I like this set up
is that I dont have to fish around for anything If I get surprised and I need to revert to a keyboard style
this is perfect for it
essentially this is perfect for the keyboard player that needs to quickly play organ
as taste dictates you can add to this basic setting
for example if you need the bass to stand out a little
pull out the quint in the bass manual
87800000000
if you need to add a little to the right and part
you can bring out the upper partials a little
808000000012
