Tower '99 from the Synergy CD.

...that Synergy CD is still in my CD rotation dude.  That's one that had that special X ingredient.  At any rate...

...I wonder what type of Ride Cymbal Calvin was using in this one.  :-\

Nope - it has a raw bell, so it's probably a HHX Groove or HHX Dry Ride (or something like that, but it definitely has a raw bell, and that rules out the Legacy).

...on the last one?

It's the only ride I use these days.
That last clip was during rehearsals, for a session I just did with Aaron Lindsey. It is one of my all time favorite Weckl songs. I got some underground audio of him playing some stuff that's absolutely insane. He definitely always brings a certain humility around drummers. It's like when I listen to him, I wanna hide my sticks!!!! LOL

Mr. Rodgers I would just like to take the time to publicly pay you a personal compliment on the work that you did on the Benita Washington "Hold On" CD.  I bump "Use The Word" all of the time.  I'm all about the groove and you certainly put it down.  You may have heard some of my work, or you may not have.  I played on the Tommy Sims CD, and another local artist that has went on to become a Grammy award-winning producer and songwriter by the name of Shannon Sanders who has done the majority of the hit songs for India.Arie.  Anyway, enough about me, keep doing your thing bruh.  But I would like to end by saying that the true sign of a great musician is not how much he can do, but how his talent keps him working because people truly believe in his/her gift.  You are a great example of that.  Be blessed Sir.
When you've done your very best, do even better.

I love Tommy's album. I thought Need's was the only drummer on there. I'm definitely familiar with your work, bro. We must link up. I'll be in Nashdawg in a couple weeks. So that means you work with Javier too. Isn't he the truth!!!!!!!!!
