1-4-5

Hey everybody...imnew to the keyboars and im trying to play in my church and i know that alot of songs can be played with with the 1-4-5 progression.. I play best in the key of F#.Can anyone please show me a 1-4-5 in F#....THANKS ALOT!!!!!!!!!!!

sure in F# a 1-4-5 progression would be:    F# - B - C#
this is hower just the basic "colour" used on chords, as you get more advanced you almost always ad a 7:th note to the last (nr 5) chord, in this case the C#major. that way we get F#-B-C#7. This is because the 7:th note ads some tension to the chord and makes it "lead" more back to the F# I suppose you will be landing on after the 1-4-5 progression  (so it will be 1-4-5-1).
