First of all YOU KNOW I'm humbled by this statement right here!!!!!!!!  Especially coming from Calvin, so praise God for that and I'm glad I've opened up some stuff for you, that's the whole point of this.  Spreading knowledging and now it's time to expand on that knowledge and make it your own!!!

Sabe!!!!!!!  You're absolutely right!!!!!  I never thought of it like that, but that's what it is.  Wow man, you need to write a book or something because you are such an intelligent man for real.  The main thing that we all need to understand is that when approaching these new concepts/rudiments we need to be patient with our practicing.  In addition to that we need to understand HOW to practice.  What we need to ask is, what are the motions involved here.  Is it a Full stroke, is it a tap, is it an up-stroke, is it a down stroke, how is my body moving during these exercises, rudiments, etc.  Is it flowing what do I need to do to prepare for the next stroke.  These are just the technical sides of it.  When you become comfortable with this, then it becomes, how much touch do I need to make it sound legato, stacatto, marcatto.  What colors am I seeing as an artist when I play these rhythms, phrases, etc.  That's the level that I want to be at consistently.  Let's not look at these "rudiments" as an exercise or something cool to play. Let's use them wisely and more importantly musically.  Take care and God Bless.  Again I am humbled by ALL of your comments!!!

Hey Phil!!!!!!!!!!  Dude, first of all  I'm humbled by your comments dude.  I've been working hard and hopefully it shows.  Just trying to really clean myself up, but more importantly break myself down.  I feel we should always be breaking ourselves down.  There's always something that needs to be tweaked.  It's all about the details.  However, THANKS man and I'll keep posting stuff up periodically.  Got some ideas for the next couple, but that probably won't be for at least a month or so.  Don't want cats to get sick of me LOL.

This dial up is an abomination unto God  >:( >:( I only seen less than a half of the first clip so far.

Man, I remember those days!!!!!  30 minutes for a 10 MB clip LOL!!!  Dude, cross over to the light LOL!!  When you get them downloaded hit me up and let me know what you think....

OH MAN that's right Sabe, hit me up on the PM's and let me know how that's going?  I would love an update.    Man as far as the talk...bro that's what I'm about.  I feel like all most cats talk about is technique and how fast they want to become, but what we really need to be talking about are the intangibles.  The touch, finesse, TEXTURES, how to actually hit the drum, letting the stick vibrate,  letting the rebound do it's job.  Our job is to learn how to control that rebound and that's a lifetime study.  It's about what do I need to do to compliment my other colleauges.  What do I need to do to make the most out of this moment.  That doesn't mean play 10,000 notes maybe it has to do with humbling yourself and saying man I don't even need to play here, it sounds great the way it is.  When we put our selfish ways out of the way and respect the music that's when we starting becoming artist. We start seeing colors, visualising(sp?) what the phrase looks like, and how each note value feels!!!!!!!!!!!  You start to understand all the strokes (like an artist does).  You start to paint on that canvas (which in this case is music) and start creating different strokes to make the appropriate picture.  Maybe you have to a minimalist or go the other extreme (but most of the time that's not good unless you're doing a drumsolo  ;D ;D ;D ;D :D).  Man, I'm sorry I'm going off a little too much I'll leave it at.  I get soooo worked up because I love music sooo much and the gift that He has lent me.  So I'm really passionate about it. LOL!!!  Gotta go, but take care and God Bless.  Much love and respect to all.

Hey man!!!!!!  Very cool!!!!!!!  I got some more variations on that particular rudiment, but that would have been another instructional video LOL!!  There's sooo much more than this rudiment, so many variations, phrases, etc.  But Glad I got to shed SOME light on this.  Let me know your progress on it.  I hope  all is well brother.  Also, How's the Dennis Working out?  I love that drum.  I take that drum everywhere LOL!!!

Yeah man that's what I'm talking about!!!!!  We should be excited about drumming and learning as much as we can.  Keep motivated and great things will happen!!!!  Next videos will out in a few months, maybe next month, but not sure yet.  I need to let these marinate a little LOL!!  Any suggestions?  I got a couple of things that I want to touch on, but I don't want to go TOOOOO complex.  I think LGM and most of us are in the need of foundation.  Once you have a strong foundation then you can add everything else (icing on the cake).  Gotta go, but keep God first and all things will fall into place according to HIS will.  Take care and God Bless.

Yo you are amazing!! Thanks a lot for that sharing with us, and this really opened me up to a better understanding of how to apply these type of rudiments and others by phrasing.  You are really clean man, wow. Cant wait for the next!

Yeah man the Dennis snare is official and the truth!!!  So versatile (sp?), but man, it has crack, sensitivity, and the response on it is amazing.  Definetly worth the money.   Congrats on that for real!!!!!!!!!

Hey Man, thanks for the comments. Your words are truly humbling!!!!!!  I'm glad that I got to open up a door for you.  The next will be out some time next month.  So we'll see.  The next one maybe a little advanced, but something that will really really open up cats minds!!!!!!!  Right now heading towards, super imposed Metric Modulations.  We'll see though, don't want to blow people's heads up either LOL!!!  Take care and God Bless.
