I actually like the key of E alot.. you can thank Israel and New Breed for that.. (Friend of God, Lord You Are Good, etc).. LOL

The progressions are nice SOJ, I'm just disappointed that I don't see any sharps, since u are in the key of E, LOL.  Sorry, that's just the music theory geek in me.

EXACTLY!!!  It just irks me when someone says they're in a certain key, then I don't see what I'm expecting to see for that key.

Funny enough Mr Tolbert, I've just been doing a bass groove in Dbm

(Slap bass or Sine Bass are my preferences for this)

OK, no worries. I play in E cuz i am sometimes forced to so its all good.

YOU GOT PROBLEMS WITH "A" TOO??!!!!

 

T-block is right, the key of E has a certain richness to it.  I know it's not a favorite key by many piano players tho 

but really, if you have pretty decent guitar players (lead and bass), a shout in the key of E would be pretty fun.

I thought about it real hard and came to the conclusion that it is a total bummer to play anything in a key that has more than two sharps in it.  Flats are o k. I don't acknowledge the fact of a C# even being on the keyboard.  B_E_A_D_G_C  I live by.(the flat key signatures)  When playing by ear, those other notes aren't sharps,  they are flats.  Maybe that's why I can't play the keyboard.
