Converting a rack tom to a floor tom?
« on: May 21, 2008, 10:35:45 PM »
I seen a drum that was a rack tom but was on this sort of suspension system that converted it into a floor tom. Does anyone know who makes this product? I can't seem to find it anywhere. :'(
My goal as a musician is to be better than myself.

Talk to Juse. He turned his 14" into a floor tom.

Gauger RIMS makes one which several Tama guys use to convert their 13" to a floor tom. Also Rick uses brand called DSS or something which can be seen on the floor toms in the latest picks he posted (Phil's kit).

Never even thought about this...you could just loosen up the bolts right?  Or are we talking about the suspension thing?
