It's all about expression more so than a bunch of chords. Old school type piano players got it right.  :) Many musicians today are trying to figure out why their music doesnt touch people like others. If you are playing to show off a bunch of chords people can feel that and they can feel when your heart is in your music.

Man you are NOT lying. I mean those old school hymns were so simple but they touched folks. THey way they were played, they touched folks man. Nowadays you have musicians IN CHURCH who don't even know the lyrics to the songs they play Sunday after Sunday.

How can a song enter your spirit and how can you play from the heart when you dont even know the words of what you are playing. The power is in the words, not the chords.
