It seemed rehearsed to me because it was a given break.  Plus he was smiling while he did it which looked like a reaction to the reaction he was getting.  Plus, why was the camera right on him at that moment and then moved away after he was done with the break?  Look practiced to me.

he did have a big grin. so i he practice it,
or hes just use to that very nice clean lick,chop or what ever we call it

Yeah I noticed that too. I was trying to figure out why he had a break. Everyone must have known because the choir didn't show to much emotion when he did it. They must have know what was coming.

Yeah, they called his number.  BUT, he landed everything.  Weather or not it was rehearsed is beside the point.  He landed it.

He did something that I can't do (right this moment).  Let me work on it for a week.  I'll pull it off Sunday.  ;)

Exactly.......it dosen't matter if he rehearsed it or not....the fact is that he did it......that was clean...and of course it's possible to practice that lick............you can pracice anything you hear...

I think that the reason the choir didn't really react is cuz they used to they drummer
I think dat he could have planned to fill wit what ever came to mind for 2 bars and then to come into that lil groove
