What prompted you to buy a JV1080 after all these years?  I've had mine for about 8 years; using it less and less.

I've heard better... 8)  :D

I don't use it for bass.  I changed it from solo to poly and I use it to play keys....layered with EP 2 from the MKS-20.  :D

Yep!  One of my boys wanted to figure out what sound Mike Bereal was using for the longest.  But that joker has had an XP-80 for a minute now.   :D

I got the 880 as well! You got the expansion boards as well? I found some on ebay and didn't jump on them.

i got expansion boards,(60's/70's, orchestral, dance) but they're in the 5080. incidentally, I never use them anymore, cuz I work with like 4 synths at once. Plus i dont see using the dance card in service.....

Some mix or amp settings can fool you into to thinking that a piano sound sucks. Just food for thought. The S90es is a beast.
