If you can, check out a Herbie Hancock album called "The Piano"

No words.  Just piano solos.  HOT.

And Jeff Lorber is a beast!  Pick up "Flipside" and "He had a Hat".

Add George Duke to the list, since he plays both.
Oh, and another cool one Patrice Rushen.
(smooth funky chords and progressions, and overall just good music)
Add PJ Morgan to the gospel list.
Add Donald Fagan to the jazz list (You can hear him on all the Steely Dan recordings)
John P Kee played alot of his old stuff (and it was sick; crucial runs)

Great 'Comp'ers
Cedar Walton
Barry Harris
Wynton Kelly

Bobby Sparks (K. Franklin longtime musician; great synth work)
Jimane Nelson (Myron Butler; great phrasing and musical sentences)
Quennell Gaskins (new Myron Williams CD)
Keyboard player on the new R. Dillard CD, great stride piano
Buddy Strong (organist for Israel, but played keys on a few of Marvin Sapp's new songs from Thirsty)
Rick Robinson (Vashawn Mitchell)
Asaph Ward (great chord movements)
Derrieux Edgecombe (gospel)
Chick Corea's Solo piano album from 2000
Maurice Rodgers (awesome phrasing)
Keith Jarrett (great emotion in playing)
Marcus Johnson

Not to change the subject, but who was the keyboard player on Marvin Sapp's You Alone are God???

That is one of my favorite songs and keyboardist just because of the runs he does are so smooth and clean.
All the glory goes to God for my talent.
