What's up room?? Are there in keyboardists, organists and pianists in here from the Raleigh/Durham area....Matter of fact, from all over North Carolina...
The organ doesn't have a transpose button, learn it in every key!!!!!

I'm just messin...that's a nice area down there...right outside of Charlotte...I plan on moving back to NC one day.  I was born and raised in Durham but I've been living in VA for the last few years.

Yeah Man I Can’t Wait, I am closing on a House down there.. So what is the Church Scene Like down there?  My Homeboy told me that there are not a lot of COGIC churches down there and he said the Church Scene is a Straight Business no Jobs are Really Guaranteed, No Security…

Is that accurate?

I'm not sure.  A guy I know moved from Jersey to Charlotte because he got a job as minister of music down there.  Melvin Crispell is also down there now too.  But that's about all I know.

For me, it depends on the area. I'm from eastern north carolina, Plymouth, NC to be exact. That's near Elizabeth City, Washington, Greenville, that area. IN the eastern part of North Carolina there are lots of small churches without the business mindset. They don't like contracts and if you have one they might not want to abide my it. Also in the Eastern Part of NC, they aren't many COGIC churches. We have a lot of Pentacoastal, Various Baptists and Church Of Christ.

I'm currently in Durham at North Carolina Central University. Therefore in the Raleigh/Durham area I noticed there are a lot of COGIC, holiness and non-denominational churches.

Going back to the original question, I think that it depends on the church and their aspect on the music ministry whether or not if they abide by all of the things involved with the music

Where is Melvin Crispell located in NC?  I have been busy the last few months and haven't had time to really keep in touch with you.

yeah I think Cedric Thompson lives in Greensboro (at least that's what his website says).

Where is Melvin Crispell located in NC?

I think he's in Charlotte.

You know John P. Kee is in Charlotte and the Tri-City Singers are down there as well.
