Thinking about selling my Pro M kit
« on: September 17, 2007, 06:43:50 PM »
Sup fam, im really thinking about selling my kit.  I've had it since January but it just doesnt please me anymore. Dont get me wrong it's not a bad kit at all.  I took a chance on buying it without hearing it first, i like it, but it just doesnt float my boat now, maybe i just dont like maple kits.  I think i wouldve liked it better with bigger tom sizes (10 X 9, 12 X 10, 14 X 12 & 16 X 14) or maybe the M Birch(ive heard it) better.  Another thing that bothers me is that 12" tom that most consumers of the Pro M have to deal with every now and then.  Also its harder to tune for the church audience, idk maybe its just the building that we're in now, its kinda old with about 9 to 10 windows in the sanctuary. I wanna take my kit to one of the churches near by and try it out there.  In the next month or two, if im still kinda like, eh, about the kit im thinking about selling it for atleast $900.  It's a 6-piece:  10 X 8, 12 X 9, 14 X 11, 16 X 14, & 14 X 5.5 snare, its still in good shape.  Sorry lol the BP is staying!!!!!! :D :P And BBD do you have any clips with your M-Birch?  I know you know tune your kits really well, so i can have a better hear at what the M-Birch can do.

Man, I really dont think that kit is worth $900!Its is a great sounding kit though man but..... There is a 2 month old Pro M in Guitar Centers Used section for $600... I understand that you payed a few hundred more than what your selling it for but I think that its too much... :-\ ;)

lol it is though.  But my pastor definately isnt gonna let me sell the kit for that price though because they sacrificed to help get the kit.  What i didnt know is the church almost went broke to get it.  We have a small church but its continuing to grow.  People werent paying their tithes like they supposed either so idk where they really got some of the money from. People these days expect running around the church or singin' will pay the bills or summ'n.  But thats a whole different topic.  But if i could i would.

..........*gets dictionary*

Oh, yeah, but lol................everytime i hear a birch set or listen to certain albums it makes me want one even the more, and my satisfaction of maple kits decreases.

Get a Beach Kit! Then you can have Maple and Birch...lol... No, really man! That kit is not worth selling!.. Give it a chance! You could always play the 10" Tom on the rack and then have to 12" one you left side! Then you can experiment the problem instead of giving up on it! The kit has potential.. Give it some time...  ;)
