You tend to find what you are looking for...

I don't look for drama so I don't find it, some people need drama.

I never seem to have any real
problems in my life...
Thank you Jesus!!

Unfortunately....
It seems as if some
folks can't function without it.

They need it to feel like...
they're living....
So they either allow it to happen
in their life...
Or they create it in their life...

Either way....Its pretty sad.
Bunk a shout.....How you livin'??

Usually because they want it.

If your live a peaceful life, you won't attract drama.

With all these soaps... The Young & The Restless, Days Of Our Lives, Guiding Light, General Hospital, why would anybody need more drama.  Well, its simply because we HAVE these shows and along with the drama induced reality shows, most folks (that are drama prone) feel as if their lives are bland and boring.

4HG, I don't know why you opened this Can-O-Worms on here, but I sadly admit, LGM are full of them.  Most drama queens and kings are selfish, self-centered individuals that needs constant attention or feel that life is so meaningless unless SOMETHING is going on within it.  If your life isn't full of drama, consider yourself blessed and NORMAL cause you don't want that type of headache day after day.

I used to think something was wrong with me because I don't get called out by the guest evangelist all the time and get a superdramatic word, but then I noticed that most of the people that get called out during EVERY revival are high drama folks, and they give a good show with the screaming and falling out, and what have you, but next weekend the drama resets and they're back to square one.  If THAT'S what it's all about, I don't need that.

I think it could be anything from their perception, to the people they surround themselves with. Everybody faces challenges daily great or small. Its the way that you approach it, view it, respond to it, or whatever you choose to do to it, is what makes a difference. You can call it drama or you can call it a slight dilema. LOL

 :o  :o  :o

OMG me too!!!!  A few pastors have even told me that I'm one of the hardest people to prophesy/minister to (because of my facial expressions, I guess)... I never quite could figure out why they never call me out until I realized the very same thing... those folks who DO get called out are often the "busy" ones who go to the bathroom every 15 minutes, or have to run to the back, or go to the car, or go to the choir stand to tell somebody something or go help someone shout or any other excuse to get out of their seats.  And nine times out of ten, they have MAJOR drama in their lives, and they GIVE major drama when they get called out...

I gotta tell ya, NJ, that's common on just about every message board on the world wide web... lol.  And, I'd bet that if any sociologist ever did a study on it, they'd find that it's largely because these folks (the ones who need the constant attention or have to have 24 hr drama in order to feel meaningful) posting on these message boards usually don't really have too much going on in their lives, OR they're really unhappy deep on the inside (which is pretty serious).  Some of them have miserable home lives and get into "character" to pretend it's otherwise.  Some are hurting on the inside and get into character to pretend otherwise.  Some have very low self-esteem or are attention-starved.

Either way, it's definitely not just LGM, and it's a sad situation.  You're right, it IS a blessing to live a peaceful life.

I agree and beg to differ at the same time.

Dealing with "dramafied" individuals takes a gift that many don't have.  In fact I consider it to be "my curse".

I look at things that people do and say...and before I can "dismiss them as a heathen", I start to look at that person and see "what's missing or lacking in their life, God....what are they really reaching out for?"

Not just on LGM.  There was a lady at GPHMBC named Helen who we would later find out was manic depressive.  She was BEAUTIFUL (actually fellas, she was FYNE to be 46).

Helen was one of those people who always had a "they're doing something to me" attitude and was the master of starting a heated argument and then playing "preacha" to tell the folks what thus said the Lord like she didn't start it!  Needless to say, at first I didn't like her.

She bragged all the time to us single people about her husband and how much they "had intimate moments" and how much of a great man he was, and so forth.  She literally never wore the same outfit and hat to church twice!!  Sis. Cage would be the first one up in testimony service, and whenever I used to lead "Your Grace and Mercy" back in the day, she'd be the first one to start the pew flipping session (WHEN WE USED TO SHOUT :D)!

People called her a showoff, they called her a troublemaker, they called her a drama queen, and more!  But one day I took a good look at her and asked "what is it that she's really reaching for, Lord?"

From there, I found out through interacting with her that she was a woman who was somewhat miserable and the clothes, the bragging on her husband all the time, the wanting to quote "more scripture than Jesus himself"...it was all a facade.  It was a way for her to escape the Helen that Helen didn't like.  Why God gave me to invite her to CAPTAIN D'S OF ALL PLACES was strange to me.  But sitting there over some cheesecake ('cause your boy don't care for fish), she opened up to me about some things that helped me understand.  She opened up about everything EXCEPT her marriage.

A few weeks later (in the old church), her husband came with her.  We finally got to see him.  WHY HE CAME WITH ONE OF THE USHERS AND NOT HELEN, I didn't know.

But when the fight between she and the usher broke out after service, and my uncle tried to break it up....then her son came up to the church to pull a gun on my uncle...and all... I realised that she was trying to cover up a lot of hurt.  Her causing drama and being the way she was, was a cover up for the HELEN that HELEN didn't want to be.

Some people (especially the ones I've discerned on LGM) are lonely, the Internet allows them to be "who they want us to see them as" and not necessarily who they really are, and what they really are reaching out for is someone to LOVE and UNDERSTAND them.

My question to ALL OF US is, if we believe that our God is all seeing, all knowing, and all powerful, and we know that God is not the author of confusion.....STAY WITH ME HERE....

And ALL of us have had problems at some point in life, or the Word of God has lied (man born of woman is of few days...and full of ????)!

THEN WHY don't we learn to see confusion as a "spirit" and PRAY for the people that we seem to identify with that issue, rather than talk about them as if we don't know that our God has the power to give them the LOVE they seek, and the DELIVERANCE that they so desperately need?

(That's my prolific dissertation of the day...now you see why I had to sleep on it..........LOL!)

OH...I FORGOT THE KICKER.....

The way we found out Helen Cage was manic depressive was because she shot herself in the head after the prescription meds for manic depression just couldn't make her "Happy Helen again" (her exact words to me before the shooting took place in her home after the husband left).

All the people who called her drama queen, messy, and so forth CRIED LIKE NEWBORN BABIES .... one of her friends said "she was really misunderstood"...

I remember sitting in the choir stand saying to myself (NOT REALLY....but people just didn't know how to reach out to her...LOL!!!)

SO YOU SEE...some drama is unwarranted, unwanted, but necessary to help us become who we're supposed to be.  Some drama can't be helped.

And if YOU live a life that has none, now is not the time to harp on those who DO, but just consider it a time to be thankful, trust God, and KNOW that your day is coming!  We all go through "storms", and everybody's umbrella isn't the "Brand Name" version that's guaranteed to catch everything!

Love y'all!

Dude, I didn't know you had all that in you.  You're up in here preaching like LL or BB... or SisCM or SB... lol.  WOW.  I hope people in your life recognize the greatness and depth in you, and don't just dismiss you without hearing what you're saying.  What you just said can really help some folks out, if they're listening.  And if no one else gets it, I did, and it helped me.

It all comes down to this:
THEN WHY don't we learn to see confusion as a "spirit" and PRAY for the people that we seem to identify with that issue, rather than talk about them as if we don't know that our God has the power to give them the LOVE they seek, and the DELIVERANCE that they so desperately need?

There's definitely too much talking going on in the body, even among the "holy," and if no one else will say "Amen," I WILL.

COSIGN!!!!!!!!!!

And THIS:
Some people (especially the ones I've discerned on LGM) are lonely, the Internet allows them to be "who they want us to see them as" and not necessarily who they really are, and what they really are reaching out for is someone to LOVE and UNDERSTAND them.

is going on my bulletin board.

Sis. Helen sounds like someone I know of.
