Learning Harmony!
« on: November 24, 2006, 08:32:41 AM »
Can someone please share a little info about harmony.  How to give out parts, etc... is it like forming a triad or a major chord to give out a 3 part harmony?

Yes, for the most part. Whether or not the triad is major or minor, etc depends on the composer (or you, if you're the composer).

I hope that I've answered your question.

Make sure you know your basic major, minor and even suspended and diminished triads. Then make sure whatever parts you give out matches with the same harmony of the band PLEASE.
