Yeah!...I've always enjoyed Billy's style of playing. Nice clip! He and Doobie have always held it down nice and tight!

Billy was pretty good on that clip, but I couldn't help from laughing at the audience, that was sad... that whole corner didn't come to get ministered to via song but they all had they camcorders video taping Larone..........(not knocking him but....) my God is this where the Gospel industry has come too where every goes to see there favorite drummer or go see who's gonna Gospel Chop it up? does anybody go to church for real anymore.....this just puts me in the mind of some of yalls favorite worldly drummer Spanky, his notice HIS Fan Club pushed him out into secular world and now there keeping him there by writing on his Blogs that they totally agree with him and even some of the people on this board wrote yeah Spanky "CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR NEW PROMOTION WITH P-DIDDY) WHAT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!  How can not doing God's work be a Promotion....Foollishness.........

I tell you people nowadays...lol

I have a question for you why exactly did you come to this paticular blog? was it for the same reason that those with camcorders go to that session?

You sent me a PM which was in lack of better word was stupid but i responded and we can leave it at that.

the bottom line that i think you were tying to get at is the focus was more on the musicians than on God. I agree that not all but most young 35yr olds and younger musicians do get more excited to see thier fav musician than they are in church to reverence God and it is unfortunate.

posting what you posted and the questions i asked, also keeping in mind that this was at a musical and not a church service what did you expect. this wasnt all that different from a shed or jam session. had this been sunday morning service your post wouldve been warranted.

then again i wonder how many clips you yourself watched or downloaded on this site since youve been a member? so far i know you opened this thread which is titled "billy powell at AIM 2006 in houston" so you knew there was a clip of some sort and also we know you went to the Spanky with Diddy thread.

oh yea on the spanky tip as far as a promotion goes drumming is not his hobby its his means of living so yea he is getting paid alot more right that he had been so far. and yes while it may not be God's work would you say it was foolishness for a person that gets a promotion working for a company that would careless about God and christianity?

Yo man Billy was definetly tight...It's so funny how I could relate to so much of what he was saying. Especially the part where he mentioned old church drum sets, and how you didnt care how crappy the sets were, you just wanted to get up and play...wow God really is good.

I swear I was thinking about Doobie Powell when I first opened this clip...dont ask why, cause I definetly couldn't tell you
