choir age ranges
« on: August 16, 2006, 03:33:12 PM »
hello, could someone give an example of different age ranges in: Children's Choir, Youth Choir, and Adult Choir. thanks in advance, we have all three choirs at our church, but we are having a problem with singers in the wrong choir because of age.

My experience has been:

Children's 2-11
Youth 12 - 18
Adult 18 and over

Although, sometimes they overlap, like a really dedicated and talented young person (saved of course) will sing in the youth choir and the adult choir.  I think it varies with each ministry and just depends on how you wanna set it up.

That pretty much summed it up, the only thing is,
our youth/young adult is 12-24
and adult is 17 and over
If it had not been for the Lord on my side, where would I be!!!

yep yep, summed it all up right their.

in my church its ruffly the same, but their are some children as young as 7 that are in some of our youth project, songs, dances etc, cos they sooo eagar, and "this lil light of mine" is a gr8 song but jus dont fill that gap. they sometimes put in a whole lot more effort into it than the youth.

As for me, im an adult wen i feel like it lol( im 20)
