In another post I mentioned the fact that my musical talent is absolutely average, and it took me 6 months at 1-2 hours' practice a day to learn to play typical progressions in all keys, starting from being able to play in C only. That's about ~300 hours of practice.
I just want to encourage those who are trying to change level in their playing and struggling with it. You might be in the middle of the night, but your morning is just 8O 300 hours away! It's just up to you how long those 300 hours will last :wink: .
And a question: how long does it take folks to do something completely new to them (say play with a bluesy style, or become proficient with runs) starting from zero?
