If you looking for me to say "yes you should do it" or "no you shouldn't do it" then I am not going to do that cuz it depends on the individual.  I can't speak for everybody, but my opinion is if it sounds good to you and it doesn't condemn your spirit, then go ahead and do it.  Whether it is right or wrong or whether you should or shouldn't do it is not up to me or you or anybody to decide.
Real musicians play in every key!!!
Music Theory, da numbers work!

This type of stuff is always going to be a touchy subject because, after all the first musician was the artist presently know as Satan. You have to realize that music carries a spirit, whatever type it is. You have to make sure that the music you want top create doesn't carry over the wrong spirit. This may sound like a lot to ask but think about it... in a sense we can be held accountable for the souls who listen to the music we create. It's hard man... taking a tune or a beat that's known to be secular and switching it. I suggest you pray about it... seek God (believe it or not it's THAT serious). Like the other brother said...if it's not bringing conviction to you... cool. Also, see how people around you react. If they say "hey that sounds like..." what does it mean. You don't want somebody thinking of the secular song or shaking their butts to your new creation... Pray that God;s will be done.

Sorry for the sermon
