I need help on Passing chords

I can relate----so do I.  I really need to be shown how they are used to connect main chords together.  Please do a tutorial if possible--thanks all!

Hey, T,  I know that this is off the thread but I thought I could get away with asking here.  What is  the theory or the significance/advantage of playing triads with the first, third and fifth digits, or fifth, third and first digits, right hand, left hand?  I never do that as I didn't learn that way at first and didn't change even when I became aware of that teaching.  I know that there must be a good reason. For those just starting and for my curoisity, why that fingering?
