how does the filling in on piano work. I play by ear but I play the melody. it is hard to just fill in

I play the left hand by ear and I have tryed to just fill in all I can do is the old "boom chuck." So can anyone help me out

:D You can break your chords up into runs and also it helps to hear the fill in chords in songs. Also you can use vocal runs to play as filler run. I hope I helped you in some way. May god bless you. :D  8)

vocal runs? there are different types of runs that you would use as vocal or filler runs? :?:
