Hi there.  I am learning how to play "Speak."  I am learning theory as well.  How does a G fit into a Dm9 chord?  Thanks for your help.

It's actually a Dm11 chord. Gotta go back and fix that. Anyways:

minor 11 --> 1-b3-5-b7-9-11  or  1-b3-5-b7-11  or  1-b3-b7-11

Dm11 --> D-F-A-C-E-G  or  D-F-A-C-G  or  D-F-C-G

Ok, I understand that.  Now I am trying to formualte chords in the left hand so it will sound fuller when I play this song.  How exactly would I go about doing that?  The special progression at the end, where does that fall in the song??  I've been trying for a week now to disect this song.  I am trying to add fill-ins as well. Thank you again.

For the LH, you can play octaves (1-1) or octaves and a fifth (1-5-1). The special progression comes in near the end of the song. You should hear it because there are a lot of chords played in succession. If you've played through the chords, u should listen for that.
