Starting Gospel Piano

Hi.  Yes I am trying earnestly  to learn how to play piano WELL for church,  both in  genres of Gospel and Contemporary Christian. Can someone help me out with s ome advice on where exactly should I begin? I have a musical background, so I know the theory of music well. I suppose its the coordination and fluid, smooth sound of the piano that I am desiring to learn. Thanks!!!!

1 - Go to www.ntimemusic.com for Gospel sheet music + books

2 - If you are NEW to the keyboard, get a method book, like Piano Adventures or Hal Leonard (Adult). Go through that, either on your own, with a class, or w/a private teacher. There are also resources on LGM for chords, etc.

3 - Get with other beginning musicians and start to jam....

The best way is to get a teacher. The next best way would be to listen to songs and copy what you hear. Learn runs note for note and learn each chord the exact way it's played.
