I need prayer

I've only been playing for my church as head musician for a year and I already want to resign.. Reason is.. The pastor has indulged in a rumor started by his daughter about me and my mom.. I know there's a reason God sent my family and I there. My dad played for the youth and combined choirs and The pastors other daughter played for the other choirs.. And God called them both home with in a year between each other.. And God has allowed me to opportunity to take both of their places..  So I dont wanna take it upon my self to quit.. but I refuse to sit and take this foolishness!! What do I do..

A Pastor who engages in rumors shows a lack of spiritual maturity..in my opinion. Hopefully it's just a terrible misunderstanding. Either way, I don't think it's proper to just leave without finding out what's going on behind the scenes and talking face to face.  I'm going through at my church right now too but I am praying for God to change me first and then go from there. You're in my prayers!

My mom and I have spoken to him several times.. in meetings.. And he has yet to change his mind about anything... So i know he believes it!1 and i'm fed up..
