Any hammond technican out here?

When I pull out certain draw bars and I play a B note or E note it makes a annoying sound. When I first turn the organ on I don't have that problem. Sometimes about 30 mins later it does it. What can I do to fix the problem? The closes technician for is about 2 hours away. It cost me more just him to come out than to fix the problem. Any tips?

Does it sound like a high pitch winding  ?

Thanks, I will. It sounds like its two notes hitting at the same time. And when it does it, it sounds like the motor is slowing down.

Definitely sounds like a problem with a particular tonewheel in the generator, especially if there are changes in pitch on that particular note. My Hammond CV, in the past, has occasionally started making a grinding noise and the pitch of a certain tone would fluctuate. Your problem very possibly could require the tonewheel generator to be removed to further investigate the root of the problem.

by chance-have you moved the organ recently?? there's 4 big bolts that need to be tight if you move it,with the organ off-lie on you're back-look up above the pedal board.

Tighten and then un-tighten all 4 equally.Then;take the back off-make sure the springs that hold the generator are free.Fire the organ up-see if that helps.

Don't put your hand in the organ with it running-unless you know what you're touching!!!unless you want to see what you can fry

What kind of organ? What year? Sounds lithe a generator problem which would translate into forking out big money for a complete rebuild or purchasing a organ that had been rebuilt.
