Some of my minor runs....

Hello LGM this is MemphisKeys and i wanna share some of my runs.... the formula is 1 b3 4 #4 5 b7 1
I written them out in all 12 keys.... here they go:

C Eb F F# G Bb C

C# E F# G Ab B C#

D F G Ab A C D

Eb F# Ab A Bb C# Eb

E G A Bb B D E

F Ab Bb B C Eb F

F# A B C C# E F#

G Bb C C# D F G

Ab B C# D Eb F# Ab ( play this run backwards it will awesome) I love this one

TELL ME WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT THEM.... :) :) ;D :D

aw I use them as runs...and seen that they were built off of  minor chords....

Wow MK, I'm impressed with the work you've done 8)
I remember a few weeks back you asking if you could do runs of the blues scale..
I'm glad you've done it & it's in all the keys.

The blues scale is indeed a good scale to run..

Now this is what I'd like to know:

When would you run these scales...I'd really benefit from that.. 8)

If you're in Eb, the relative minor is C right?
Then you can run the C blues scale in Eb.
Then you can run the C# blues scale in E.
Then you can run the D blues scale in F
And so on...
Why do bad people happen to good things?

You usually run the scale over dominant chords.

I guess the easiest application is in the context of a simple 12-bar blues. For instance, using the progression C7, F7, G7, you can use the C blues scale to solo over this progression.

Also note that you can also use the C major pentatonic scale over this progression. It just depends on the sound you want.

The car, job, house wife/husband are not the reward, God is.

I'm not used to running the full scale when playing songs, but I'll try it & see..
